Dingle is one of my all-time favourite places in Ireland (find my Dingle guide here). From the colourful houses to the nearby sites and attractions, I think it’s a must for any visitor to Ireland for at least a day or two. So if you have Dingle on your list, then here are my top recommendations for the best Dingle hotels.
Dingle Benners Hotel
Dingle Benners Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels in Dingle. But, don’t let the elegance fool you because this hotel is also known for its warmth and hospitality. Dingle Benners Hotel is located in the middle of Dingle town, making it perfect for exploring the city and its surrounding attractions. The hotel also offering on-site dining; Mrs. Benner’s bar offers delicious breakfast options, afternoon tea, and a bar menu including traditional Irish fare.
Dingle Peninsula Hotel
For travellers who plan on renting a car, the Dingle Peninsula Hotel is a great pick. It’s located about 15 minutes from Dingle Town, and only five minutes from some of the area’s best, sandy beaches. Plus, there is a free shuttle bus so you don’t always have to drive back and forth. There is an onsite restaurant, The Skipper Bar and Restaurant, which offers fresh, homemade food and caters to different dietary needs including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan.
Dingle Bay Hotel
The Dingle Bay Hotel is one of the town’s newest accommodation options. It’s a modern, boutique hotel located by the pier. The bedrooms are spacious (especially by European standards) and cozy. There are two dining options: The Long Restaurant, and the more casual Paudie’s Bar. Plus, from May to September, there is traditional Irish music in the bar.
A luxurious country house with views of Dingle Bay, Emlagh House is an elegant hotel option in Dingle. It’s a small property, with only 10 bedrooms, which adds to its charm. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, and spacious rooms make it a favourite for travellers to the area.
Dingle Skellig Hotel
Just a short walk from Dingle town, the Dingle Skellig Hotel is a four-star hotel renowned for its comfort and service. There are some kid-friendly services that make it a great pick for families and an on-site spa that make it popular for a special getaway. Plus, the Dingle Skellig Hotel’s on-site restaurant, The Coastguard Restaurant, has been nominated for several awards.
Ceann Sibeal Hotel
OK technically, Ceann Sibeal Hotel isn’t actually in Dingle, but it is on the Dingle Peninsula so it definitely counts. Ceann Sibeal Hotel is a family run hotel located in the small village of Ballyferriter. There are 26 bedrooms, each offering scenic views, and an onsite restaurant serving local food and craft beer from West Kerry Brewery, only a few minutes away. If you are looking for an escape on the Dingle Peninsula, this is the hotel for you.
